RANDOLPH SAVINGS BANK LAUNCHES KINDNESS CAMPAIGN IN COMMUNITY

February 5, 2015

Randolph Savings Bank is pleased to announce that it will be performing Randolph Acts of Kindness in and around the South Shore communities. The Bank and its employees are planning random, surprise community appearances to give away unexpected treats, and they’ve only just begun.

It all began with an effort to show appreciation following Randolph Savings Bank being voted the #1 Community Bank in the Wicked Local reader poll in June 2014. The Bank wanted to reach out and thank the community for its support – and from there it evolved into something bigger. At first, bank employees took to the streets of Randolph on a warm June afternoon to pass out over 400 cold bottles of water to motorists and pedestrians.

Since then, they’ve visited Randolph Concert at the Gazebo, Stoughton Farmers Market, and the police and fire departments of Randolph, Stoughton and Holbrook to deliver smiles, kindness and ice cream sandwiches from Daddy’s Dairy. This fall, they took over the concession stand during a Randolph High School varsity football game, providing free snacks and beverages to concession stand patrons. In December, they expanded their kindness to social media for holiday Randolph Acts of Kindness, with drawings to giveaway $50 American Express gift cards through their Facebook page to members of the community.

“We take community very seriously,” states Richard Olson, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Randolph Savings Bank. “While Randolph Savings Bank is a great place to bank, we’re also your neighbors – and it’s important to us that we are active in our communities. We value the opportunities to connect with people and Randolph Acts of Kindness allows us to connect with people in fun and surprising ways – and in ways that will truly make a difference to the people and organizations in the South Shore.”

Where will Randolph Savings Bank be next? That’s the joy in Randolph (and random) acts of kindness – it’s a surprise! But the Bank has plans extending throughout 2015 to continue sharing Randolph Acts of Kindness. Keep an eye out for them and their spiffy truck to see just where kindness is being given next.
