RSB Contributes to Hurricane Harvey and Irma Relief Efforts

September 18, 2017

The past few weeks have been filled with anticipation, fear, and devastation for so many people in this country. First, Hurricane Harvey battered Texas and Louisiana, leaving a tremendous amount of damage in its wake. On Sunday, Hurricane Irma reached Florida and is now wreaking havoc throughout the state.

There has been so much devastation from these storms, and our hearts go out to all of those who have been affected by these disastrous events. But we know that it's not enough. Randolph Savings Bank feels strongly that we must also take action. As a community bank, we recognize the power of people coming together during times like these. We genuinely feel that we are all truly ONE community and that we must do something to contribute to the relief of those who must now recover and rebuild from these horrific storms.

The question of how to help is one that many of us often ask in the face of such tragedy. Randolph Savings Bank had the same question. After doing a considerable amount of research to determine the organization where our donation could make the biggest impact, Randolph Savings Bank will be making a $5,000 donation to One America Appeal. One America Appeal is a joint effort by all five living former Presidents of the United States. To learn more about it, visit their website at oneamericaappeal.org. If you are able to make a monetary donation, no matter how big or small, to this fund or any of the many worthwhile organizations supporting hurricane relief efforts, we would encourage you to do so. Every dollar matters and the support means so much to those who have been affected.

If you have been personally impacted by Hurricanes Harvey or Irma, we'd like to help you:

  • Randolph Savings Bank will be refunding ATM card activity fees for any customers making ATM transactions in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida through December 31, 2017. Randolph Savings Bank will rebate any card activity fees imposed by SUM Network ATMs in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida through December 31, 2017. Other banks may impose a surcharge for use of their ATMs. If you are charged by another bank, please notify us at 877-963-2100 so that we may rebate those charges.
  • If you own a property in one of the impacted areas, Randolph Savings Bank may be able to help. For customers who own homes in Massachusetts, we have made special loan rates available which may be able to help you as you repair or rebuild in the wake of these storms. Please contact us at 877-963-2100 for information.

From the day Randolph Savings Bank first opened its doors, we have been driven by the mission of "People helping people." This core belief is not limited by geography. We will continue to seek ways to make a difference to those who have lost so much.
